John Tilbrook.
John is passionate about people. His background is in Change and Internal Communications, Public Relations and Public Affairs with over five years in one of the world’s leading public relations consultancies. John has the desire and experience to deliver change, internal communications and employee engagement programmes across the globe – believing that corporate reputation and great communications begins from the inside-out. Applying strategic insight to every project, John ensures that delivery is of the highest standard.
Prior to working in communications, John had diverse roles working as a parliamentary researcher in the House of Commons and as a Marketing Executive in West London. Outside of work, John has a passion for all things music and sport. He also enjoys travelling – although it’s mainly just an excuse to eat foods and drink beer from a vast array of cultures.
Gemma Williams.
Gemma joined the Loop after working for a global investment bank in London for five years. There Gemma worked on group and UK internal communications, as well as managing the company social media feeds.
Gemma brings her in-depth knowledge of in-house communications to the team at The Loop, understanding the matrix structure of large corporate organisations. She is excellent at bringing order to her work and has a penchant for organisation.
With an excellent eye for detail and honed project management skills, Gemma also has a creative streak and keeps an editorial eye on our clients’ communication collateral.
Gemma loves the slopes, the beach and RSPCA rescue dogs!
Tom Callaway.
Tom is a designer with a wealth of experience, gained in the UK and Australia. Specialising in logo, brand identity, print and web design, he is in his element working in a busy agency environment, translating complex creative messages into clear powerful concepts.
Tom is dedicated to creating unique design solutions with simplicity and style. Always a cool head under pressure, consistently delivering multiple projects bang on brief and brand.
Rory Campbell.
As Senior Consultant, Rory offers an invaluable range of experience gained from over ten years of varied and demanding roles across the Lloyds Banking Group. With a career spanning HR, employee engagement and corporate communications, Rory has the broad expertise to deliver internal communications programmes with employees clearly at the heart. These include organisation-wide campaigns on diversity and inclusion, global distribution and organisational effectiveness.
Whether working with Board level leaders or the most junior employees, Rory brings his strategic, yet affable, approach to our clients, ensuring every project is delivered with energy and a clear focus.
Jemma Stapleton.
As Business and HR Manager, Jemma’s main focus is supporting the team and ensuring everything in the office is managed effectively. Offering her expert support whenever and wherever it’s needed.
Having spent three years as an HR manager for a social enterprise, Jemma has experienced everything from creating efficient office processes to leading on a complete company change management programme.
Outside of work, Jemma plays a large part on another team as a member of the South West Fusion cheerleading squad.
Charlotte Butler.
Charlotte‘s background is in specialist research, training and recruitment for the internal communications profession. She has a far reaching global network built up over more than a decade. She’s launched some of the IC industry’s leading communities, such The Strategic Communication Research Forum, The IC Showcase Awards and Internal Comms Jobs.com, and revels in raising the profile of internal communications.
In her previous role, Charlotte recruited senior-level internal communication professionals, as well as setting up the training and development arm of the VMA Group. Before that she spent five years at Melcrum, as Head of Business Development.
Charlotte‘s expertise in community building, professional development and client awareness ensures that your experience of working with The Loop is productive and effective.
Jelena Hercberga.
Jelena holds a Masters degree in Organisational Studies from Copenhagen Business School and has built up extensive communications experience working in international environments, both in agency (Burson-Marsteller, McCann Erickson) and client roles (L’Oréal, Carlsberg).
Jelena supports clients operating across the globe in understanding the current situation in terms of their internal capabilities and processes, implementing change, as well as engaging employees across borders and cultures into business strategy. At The Loop she supports Zurich Insurance, Rio Tinto, Alstom and Barclaycard and works on our marketing strategy.
Having lived and worked all over Europe, Jelena is fluent in Latvian, Russian, English, and French. She loves to travel, but also enjoys cooking and a good book.
Katy Denny.
Katy prides herself on her attention to detail and her happy clients! She manages two of our largest accounts, Zurich and Alstom Power, which means juggling multiple projects in a range of communication channels, liaising with clients, consultants and creatives and ensuring that everything is delivered on brief, on budget and on time.
Katy brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked as an Account Manager for a production house making films and videos, including drama, documentaries and 3D animations, for clients such as the Lloyds Banking Group, Bloomberg and the NHS. Before that she was an Account Executive at a marketing agency working with technology companies like Toshiba, Sky, Epson, Apple and Samsung.
Kate Lines.
Kate brings boundless energy, enthusiasm and flair to her role at The Loop. Responsible for delivering a diverse range of projects from stylish packaging solutions and complex database driven websites, to quick-turnaround event videos and even comic strips, Kate rises admirably to every challenge we throw at her. Kate manages relationships with some of our key clients including Imperial Tobacco, Barclaycard and GE.
Previously she worked as an Account Manager at both a fraud consultancy, where she looked after Sotheby’s, and for a London based graphic design and web agency. And she’s talented too, with a degree in theatre and performance studies, she can not only act, but also sings in the local Gurt Lush choir.
Pippa Fowler.
Pippa brings dedication, drive and a dash of humour to every project she works on, plus the knowledge gained from more than a decade of working in Internal Communications for both global FTSE100 companies and the public sector.
An impressive ‘all-rounder’, she has a broad experience of organisational change, events, culture and values, channel management and delivering strategic engagement plans in huge international organisations – skills she puts to good use with our clients, particularly BP and JTI.
When not at work Pippa likes to shop for additions to her shoe and handbag collections!
Steve Kaufmann.
Steve brings over 20 years experience to his role as MD of The Loop.
Originally from a sales and marketing background, Steve moved into recruitment communications where he grew a relatively small company into one of the UK’s top five in its field. He knows only too well what it takes to consistently offer a world-class level of support to its clients.
Steve believes that The Loop has a fantastic client base, a talented team and a unique approach in the way it delivers. He uses his skills and experience to ensure that The Loop builds on these attributes to create a truly outstanding communications consultancy with a global outlook.
Louise Binns.
Louise Binns brings over 25 years of experience in Communications and Corporate Affairs to her work with the Loop as a Consultant and Trainer.
She has delivered Communication Skills and Engagement training and counsel for clients including Aviva, GE, Sidel, Imperial Tobacco, Alstom and Rolls Royce Marine Services, and in the last two years has coached over 350 managers from Madrid to Moscow. Louise specialises in helping senior executives and operational managers to deliver key messages and communicate business objectives in a clear and engaging way. Travel is a way of life.
Kami Lamakan.
As our Principal and former MD, Kami has established The Loop as a key player in the internal communications industry.
Now focussed solely on consultancy, he is able to provide an even greater level of global strategic support to our expanding client base. He has developed strategies for global clients such as BP, Alstom Power, Rolls-Royce, Orange, Shell and ABB that have tangibly improved the way these organisations communicate and connect with their employees; often fundamentally changing the way these complex companies work.
A leading authority on all aspects of change communications, Kami is always available to offer advice or an intelligent opinion to The Loop team and our clients.
John Coe.
John is a master of wonderful ideas that fulfill our clients’ briefs. He is responsible for ensuring the quality and originality of all of our graphic design output. Whilst pushing boundaries where appropriate, John understands the importance of protecting the integrity of a brand and has worked on many internationally recognised brands for The Loop, including: BP, Rolls-Royce and BMW.
John not only thinks up all our overarching creative concepts, but also produces design templates for magazines, brochures, interactive PDFs, e-zines and websites. Before joining The Loop, John worked as a Senior Designer working on prestigious contracts for Honda, Airbus and the Post Office.
James Harvey.
James is an Account Manager whose extensive background in market research enables him to deliver a client service built on insight. And with over five years direct marketing experience managing some of the UK’s biggest public sector clients, including The Identity and Passport Service, he has the strategic foresight to deliver large projects both smoothly and to brief.
At The Loop, James translates these skills into a canny knack for keeping clients happy and exceeding expectations. This means ensuring everyone’s up-to-date, identifying the best channels for delivery, and always making himself available. He also has a black belt in Taekwondo – which might explain his flexible approach.
Floriano Areal-Carter.
Knowledgeable, skilful and inquiring, with a determination to get tangible, positive results for all of his clients, Flo offers strategic support and communications expertise to help diverse, complicated, global organisations achieve their visions. Working closely with organisations such as Alstom Power, Rolls-Royce, Tetra Laval and our multi-national FMCG clients, he has delivered extensive, innovative, award-winning international campaigns that exceed expectations and deliver real change.
Flo holds a first class degree in European Business Studies and Spanish, which he speaks fluently – and has a passion for travel.
Ellie Seelig.
In her element behind a Mac, Ellie brings a wealth of graphic design skills and digital know-how to our creative team. Print, press and web design, corporate branding, campaign concepts, marketing materials of all sizes – Ellie’s comfortable juggling all manner of projects from concept to completion. And she does it in a way that’s always imaginative and clear, channeling her unique creative approach to deliver work that’s on-brief and on-brand.
Ellie’s digital expertise has proved to be an essential skill, helping The Loop to create cool interactive websites and clever smartphone apps for clients such as Castrol, Zurich and Imperial Tobacco. An essential part of the team!
Charles Thibault.
Charles joined The Loop after working for a global advertising agency in Abu Dhabi and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) for three years. There, he produced numerous integrated corporate communication campaigns for diverse clients including all the major oil companies.
At the Loop, Charles manages international projects from proposal to final delivery, making sure there is clear communication with everyone involved and well-defined project objectives. His global awareness and strategic approach is matched by a strong technical knowledge and experience in delivery of all communication channels.
Charles graduated with a degree in Communication and Management from Lincoln University and, if you prefer, can talk to you in French or Spanish.
Ashley Green.
As a Senior Consultant, Ashley brings his extensive client-side marketing and communications experience to bear on projects with several of our major corporate clients.
Having spent the majority of his professional career in international roles with large organisations, including BP, he is well-versed in tackling the complex challenges of adapting and implementing global programmes and communications.
Ashley’s global experience, together with his interest in other cultures and languages (he’s a Spanish speaker) is invaluable when offering support to our own international clients. At The Loop, Ashley has used his insights and creative thinking to help develop employer brands, engage employees around new business strategies and bring clarity to global visions.
Alice Fewtrell.
Often leftfield, but always appropriate, Alice dreams up clever creative concepts designed to clearly deliver the right messages to global employees – in a way that fits with the wider strategy and corporate objectives. She’s passionate about making ‘difficult’ subjects accessible to all, and believes that, in order to learn something, an audience needs to be entertained as well as informed.
An experienced copywriter, editor, video and digital multi-media producer, with over 15 years experience, Alice has produced major award winning international campaigns for clients including: BP, the Lloyds Banking Group, Orange and Rolls Royce. Previously Alice worked for the BBC, ITV and television production companies. She is slightly obsessed with South Bristol, but does love to travel.
